Congratulations to Leigh Redbacks who made it a hat-trick of competition wins in the Grand Finals on Sunday 9th July, as they beat their local rivals, Wigan Wizards, by 8 wickets.

Earlier Wigan and Leigh had been victorious in their respective semi-finals, against Orrell Redz and Spring View Vampires, to set up a repeat of this year's first group game, back at the beginning of June, when a Redmond-inspired Wizards side had claimed first blood.

Over the two games Leigh's youngsters performed consistently well with Adam Shallcross leading the batting with an unbeaten aggregate of  80 runs and fourteen year-old Zac Donohue picking up five cheap wickets.

As ever Spring View CC were the perfect hosts and the sun shone all day ... a fitting end to an excellent tournament.
